The ICTR Protocol Support Services

The Protocol Support Services is in the immediate office of the Registrar. It is located on the 3rd floor of the Kilimanjaro building, Arusha International Conference Centre.

In accordance with the mandate given by the Registrar to the Protocol Support Services, its basic functions and duties include the diplomatic outreach, especially the visits of UN member states to the Tribunal for the purpose of familiarizing themselves with its work and learning from its experience.
For purposes of preparation and understanding of the specific demands of ICTR visitors, an ICTR Visit Request Form must be filled out by visitors 5 days prior to the visit. The Visit Request Form gives an insight into the specific needs of ICTR visitors and in turn allows the Protocol Support Services to draft a visit programme that corresponds to those needs.

Taking into account that the proceedings before the court are public, all visitors are welcome to the Tribunal at any time during its working hours: Monday to Thursday from 8h30 to 12h30 and from 13h30 to 17h30; and Friday from 8h30 to 14h00.
